Childhood Heroes

So a little while back, to acknowledge the end of a term of school-based horrors (ahaha, love you, SMS) a friend of mine held a dress-up party to celebrate her 17th birthday.

The theme was childhood heroes.
We had Bill and Ben, Sailor Scouts, Wolves, Superheroes, Fairy Princesses, Corpse Brides, Dolls and other wonderfully colourful creatures of our pasts.

However, I followed a mildly popular trend of the 'Disney character'. We had two Minney Mouses, Princesses...
I went for Snow White. She truly was an obsession of my past. And I was fairly certain that no one else was going to go there. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of my full-length costume. Just try and get the gist of it from this:

You can also spend time pointing and laughing at my fake eyelashes. I KNOW, right? Wtf? AND THE EVILS OF SATIN. My skirt is not satin, don't worry. Oh and Ranga? She's Minney Mouse. One of them ;D

Just letting my friends know that they, along with a lack of maths, are making my life great at the moment. Just being... oddly sentimental.

Holidays

Hello Chickens!

Well, I've been rather busy with VCE and all that jazz. However, the first week of my holidays were spent on ye olde GOLDE COAST. With my family. Yes, my holidays start a week early because I go to a private school, where we pay more money to spend less time learning.

It works, trust me.

Anywhother, I bought these EXQUISITE new sunglasses for $10 at Pacific Fair *wooo* And the white dress in the picture? Also $10 *woooo* This is at the Hard Rock Cafe in Surfer's Paradise.

MONORAIL!!!!!

And this is the back of my new Marilyn Manson shirt, ALSO $10 *wooooooo*. Seriously, treat yourself and go shopping there.

Unfortunately, my parents would not let my brother and I go to Dracula's by ourselves. There are also no other pictures of my outfits (and I did way more shopping than just a shirt, dress and sunnies). After discovering that, I looked like this:

Yep, feet and all.

Also, if you were wondering, I started up a Faecesbook account but baleeted it straight after. Gold Coast sun fiddled with my brain cells.

I am also planning to go to Dracula's in Melbourne these holidays... anyone want to join me?

A Formal Occasion

Sorry for not updating in such a long amount of time, it's just that I haven't actually been DOING anything. Because, as we all know, I don't actually have a life. I've been faking it.

However, last Friday happened to be the St Margarets School formal night. After two and a half hours in a salon and a little longer in my bathroom at home, I looked like this:

My partner is my cousin, Bill. He also looks quite dashing.

This is Joan and myself being fabulous.

This is my table. In order from left to right, back then front; Rebekah, Rebecca, Steb, Molly, Jason, Jessica, Billy, Myself, Amy, Joan, Madeleine and Lachlan.

It was a fantastic night of dancing, photos, socialising and good food.

SEUSS!

Yes, the main reason for my blog absence is revealed!
The first pictures of myself from Seussical the Musical have arrived and I am proud to display them on my blog.

This is of Steb and myself as bird girls. Steb, you may remember from my previous post. She dyed and styled my hair. Legend.
Anywho, I also played the psrt of Mayzie La Bird for a few nights, as the original girl cast in the role was struck with pnemonia. She still managed to do the night performances, and she still managed to light up the stage.

But alas, I am still trying to get my hands on some Mayzie photos.
And I probably won't be posting much this term either. It's a bit of a 'AH! SACs and EXAMSSSS' period in time.
Wish me luck!

Black Magic

Yeah, so, I've been meaning to do this since about... year eight?

I like it. It's very dramatic, very chic. And the dye/styling credit goes to the other Miss Stephanie.
Thank you, the other half of Steph Squared. And we did our history homework, in all our obscene pro-ness.

Robbie approves.

A Casual Dinner

Because we're going away over the Easter break, we stepped out for some pre-Easter Mexican food with my older sister and her boyfriend.

I know that if Joan sees this, she'll say this... so I'm going to beat her to the punch.

I look weirdly Asian. I'm actually quite freaked out.

And my family picked on my collar all night. My response was, 'WELL THEY WILL BE IN VOGUE SOON, AND THEN YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!'

Speaking of Vogue...

...yay!

I've Been Busy

Yes. Well. I used the long weekend to catch up on homework, as well as start/finish some sewing projects and make an appearance at Moomba.

After walking around Moomba for a while, Joan took my little (ha!) brother and I to Chinatown, where I bought some lovely things.
A red jacket for $10, a red parasol for $13 and I forgot the price of the hairclip.

Then I was back home, surfing teh internets (as you do) and I saw a little e-shop that sold collars. I looked at my laptop screen. Then I looked at my (brand-new, pink, Janome, 16th birthday-present) sewing machine. Then I looked back at my laptop screen. Then I went, '...Yeah!'

And this is what happened next. Pretty things made out of scraps. Just to make up for not finishing any if the three big projects I have on the go.
